Matushka Lucia Rivas

Matushka Lucia Rivas is a lifelong resident of Alaska, currently residing in Anchorage with her husband, Father Deacon Thomas. In March of 2025, His Grace, Bishop Alexei, appointed Matushka Lucia to the essential position of Communications Secretary for the Diocese of Sitka and Alaska. This office is responsible for the production and publication of materials that support the Diocese's mission and for promoting the Church's labors across Alaska. Matushka Lucia is on track to graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Music and a minor in Psychology in May of 2025 and serves as the co-director at Saint Innocent Russian Orthodox Cathedral.
