Release of Bishop Alexei’s new booklet Spiritual Transformation and Giving

Today, February 21st, 2023, Ancient Faith Ministries is releasing a small booklet written by our bishop, Vladyka Alexei, on how giving to the Church and those in need is a essential element in the process of an Orthodox Christian growing in the faith and being transformed into the very image and likeness of God, the Lord Jesus Christ. The book explains why it is beautiful to give to others and the Church, why giving is central to the Christian life, why people have difficulty giving,  the ways in which we can become more giving, the proper way to give, and then how giving transforms us so that we can become more Christlike. It is certainly providential that this book is being released during the season of Lent. After all,  the Great Fast is a time of fasting from foods; it is a time of prayer; and it is a time of alms-giving: giving to others, giving to the Holy Church. A complete fast includes all of these elements.
